Since our school’s inception, we have partnered with local educational institutions and service-based organizations in providing school supplies to children in need. Every year, around the first week of August, our students, parents, and partners begin to collect book bags full of everything needed for children to begin a new school year. This includes notebooks, folders, pencils, erasers, glue sticks, crayons, markers, scissors and any other materials relevant to learning! Consider donating to this cause by committing to the provision of a specified amount of full, ready-to-go book bags, collecting any of the above-mentioned supplies, or making a monetary donation at any time by clicking the link below. You can also download the flyer below and help us spread the word!
Every year our school partners with local business owners and charitable organizations in collecting food items for our annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. These donations are given to local families in need and supply them with food items that can be used for their Thanksgiving Day meal. Our students help collect, organize and distribute the donations! We collect canned goods, boxed mixes, turkeys, hams and desserts. Interested participants are able to give a monetary donation on our website, donate individual items, or adopt families! The Global Ambassadorship Program is a public program designed to address local and global needs in the areas of literacy, DEI, and indigenous welfare while simultaneously developing the leadership skill-sets of local youth. Local youth are trained and certified for leadership activities. Program staff and youth (future ambassadors) work together to identify needs within their local or global communities that fall under the scope of one of the fore-mentioned categories. Once the collection of data yields a clearly identifiable need, students and staff work together to create educational content, community plans, and leadership initiatives that are suited to the identified need. Connections are made with persons and organizations that have similar missions. Subsequently, outreach is conducted in the form of workshops, seminars, advocacy, and conferences. Ambassadors travel to underserved locations locally or globally and initiate community development projects that serve to strengthen socioeconomic status and train local beneficiaries in doing the same.
